The fact that Hippos arnt actually “fat” but just have 2 inch thick skin is gonna keep me up at night
Most large Herbivores don’t have as high of a body fat percentage as they look and just have big intestines+larger frame and/or lots of skin, and I guess it makes sense that Hippos are mostly skin and muscle and bone by weight because they actually sink in water, but it’s still misleading and terrifying looking at them
